Cortex Digests methodology
The following information outlines the methodology behind Cortex Digests.
Cortex Digests use AI to help Robinhood customers stay up to date with the latest market information and provide insights on what might be causing a stock’s price movements. The AI engine regularly pulls data from a variety of vetted & contracted data sources, and periodically generates insights. Guardrails are also applied to verify factual consistency, style, and compliance before insights are made available to Robinhood customers.
Data sources range from news providers (like Benzinga, Tipranks, and MT Newswires), research reports, real-time market data, analyst ratings, and technical indicators, to aggregated Robinhood customer trading data.
Here’s a list of technical indicators that customers may see incorporated into insights generated by Cortex:
Cortex Digests are available for the most popular public stocks on Robinhood. They're selected based on the number of views on the stock detail page (some exceptions apply). The stocks will be updated periodically. All investments involve risks, including the loss of principal. The securities selected for Cortex Digests shouldn't be considered a recommendation to buy, hold, or sell any security.
Breaking news is designed to trigger the generation of new insights outside of the periodic generation schedule. When digests include breaking news, a lightning bolt icon will be shown in the preview next to the time stamp. If breaking news comes available when the digest is being read, an in-app notification will be sent.
